Jeremy Useted

I was given a camera at a young age and always enjoyed capturing moments in time to be shared later. I grew up in a family where my grandparents showed slides of past events and adventures, so my mother spent a lot of time with a camcorder on her shoulder. My mother is an artist in every sense of the word and I owe my “eye” to the lessons I never knew she taught me.

As digital took hold of the visual arts, I was given amazing opportunities to hone my skills as a student at Woodstock Academy. I took Exploring Multimedia and used the skills I acquired for presentations in other classes through college, graduate school, and into my adult life. I received my Bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Connecticut and a Masters of Arts in Teaching Secondary English from Sacred Heart University. I was fortunate to student-teach at Woodstock Academy where I was eventually given the opportunity to coach girls lacrosse. Through coaching, I rediscovered my passion for photography in order to preserve the triumphs of my team, and have since extended my skills to other teams.

Along with sports photography, my skills have allowed me to be an intricate part of capturing the excitement of Summer Camp at June Norcross Webster Scout Reservation in Ashford, CT as Media Specialist for the reservation. My work has also been used by the Connecticut Rivers Council to promote camping statewide. I also served as the official photographer for the Pat Boyd for State Representative Campaign in 2016.

My photos are available for sale through this website, but I am also available to cover your special event. Please contact me for booking and event pricing.
